Microlearning for Core Competencies — Anywhere, Anytime.

Participants get access to a large and growing list of virtual workshops that are focused on three levels of leadership competencies. Each level (starting at Level 1) offers a varying degree of depth and practice around delivering core learning objectives in a microlearning format. In other words, participants can choose the workshops they are most interested in, and at the level that they are most comfortable with. We then deliver learning outcomes throughout each workshop in ways that requires minimal time commitment from the participant as well as build comfort, courage, and muscle-memory in a particular leadership competency. Here is an example:

The video above aroung Giving Great Feedback may be shared with a group before they start the workshop. We would also provide a high quality infographic (sample here) that each participant might use as a guide. We also ask each participant to share a similar scenario that they are currently facing around the workshop’s focus. Once in the workshop, we provide a master case study made up of all the participants’ input and walk through it together. This is the most localized and valuable content that participants will be able to relate to in their daily jobs. Lastly, we provide an activity (could be role play, a game, a discussion, an escape room, etc) to deliver the learning objective. We also follow up 30 days later to check in on progress and see how the session has impacted their daily role. We track all progress so that we can see a participant’s development over time.

Why microlearning? We love this approach because in today’s busy environment, it gets harder and harder to get professionals to sit down, focus, and dive into professional development. But with a microlearning approach, we can provide real learning outcomes without requiring a large block of time or lots of preparation beforehand. Participants can learn flexibly on their schedule, build real-world leadership skills effectively, and ultimately drive sustainable behavioral change which is the main goal in professional development.

Levels of Progress

Level 1: Awareness & Foundations

These introductory workshops build foundational awareness of each leadership competency. Participants will explore key concepts, reflect on their current practices, and begin developing essential skills to apply in their daily roles.

Ideal for those new to leadership development or seeking to strengthen their baseline understanding.

Level 2: Skill Development & Application

In this intermediate level, participants deepen their understanding and actively practice applying core leadership skills in real-world community college contexts. Sessions focus on case studies, role-playing, and collaborative problem-solving.

Designed for individuals ready to move from awareness to consistent, effective application in their work.

Level 3: Integration & Leadership in Action

This advanced level focuses on integrating leadership competencies into institutional impact. Participants engage in strategic planning, mentoring, and leading change efforts while reflecting on their growth and influence.

Intended for experienced practitioners seeking to lead initiatives, shape culture, and support others in leadership development.

Frequently asked questions

  • Yes! There will always be small exceptions where a session might be slightly shorter or longer than 60 minutes, but our focus is on meeting professionals where they are, and the overwhelming majority prefer 60 minute sessions max.

  • Most sessions will be capped at 8 participants to ensure that learning objectives can be delivered in a 60-minute timeframe.

  • Each session will include up to 8 participants and a seasoned facilitator. Participants will come from many different colleges, mostly in the Dean to VP role.

  • Because we limit each workshop session to 8 participants, additional registrants will be put on a waitlist. We will monitor demand and can offer the same additional workshop quickly, and those waitlisted registrants will be the first notified.

  • Yes! Everything is 100% virtual. If an institution wanted on-site activities, they can contact us anytime to explore options but everything is virtual in our platform.

  • We know that all professionals are at different points in their career. So we wanted to provide two great benefits.

First, we offer a large variety of topics that are requested by participants, to ensure that we are delivering the most relevant content.

Second, each participant can attend as many sessions as they wish. Some may wish to attend a couple sessions each month while others may be more heavily attending.

  • We have a growing number of facilitators that are made up of seasoned two-year college experts as well as certified coaches with higher education experience. To be a facilitator for this program, we believe that the facilitation skills must first be very strong, along with a demonstrated knowledge in the workshop’s topic - not the other way around.

Each facilitator goes through a rigorous quality assurance protocol where they must facilitate a workshop with our team, and be “passed” by that team. In addition, there is a post-session survey for each workshop that allows participants to rate the facilitator. Only the highest ranking facilitators will be delivering our content.

  • We welcome anyone that is looking to become a facilitator for this program. Please note that we are highly selective and all candidates must pass a rigorous test to become a facilitator. Each facilitator is paid for their time, and interested candidates can sign up here!

  • Our goal is to make this very cost-effective, and we are priced around $200 per professional each month.

At our launch, each institution would have to commit at the $25,000 per year to send up to 10 professionals. More can be added anytime at an additional cost. Seats can be reused if someone is replaced etc.
